Mission Statement

by admin last modified Jun 06, 2009 01:44 PM

We are addressing a simple, but not easily answered question: What are the mechanisms that are responsible for adaptive variation? Our long-term goal is to integrate a detailed understanding of regulatory networks controlling key traits with knowledge of the significance of naturally occurring diversity in these networks. Our work is guided by the belief that evolutionarily or ecologically motivated studies eventually need to address molecular mechanisms, and that this is best achieved in an environment where evolutionary geneticists learn from molecular biologists and vice versa.
